Hello, I was invited to join the Rutgers School of arts and Sciences honors program. I was just wondering if I would be able to participate in this offer if I want to go to school to be an engineer because there are many classes I want to take and will be taking that are in the School of Arts and Sciences? Thanks.

Are you accepting admission into SAS or the School of Engineering? If you accept your admission to SAS then you accept admission to the Honors Program for SAS. IF you accept admission to the Engineering school then you’ll no longer be in the SAS honors program because the Engineering school has its own honors program that is separate from SAS and you have to be accepted into that.

If you want to be an engineer, you need to enroll in SOE. If you are offered the honors program for SOE, then you can also take many of the honors courses offered in SAS. The reverse is not true though. The honors program for SOE is by application which comes out in like February or March and is a bit more difficult to get into than the SAS honors program.
