I got accepted into the Honors Program. Can anyone tell me how good it is? Ive heard that its equivalent to an Ivy League education.

There's been a lot posted about the honors program. I'd recommend using the search feature on CC. Also, did you attend a scholar's day at Rutgers? If you can, definitely try to. You'll have the opportunity to talk to deans and students about the program.

I chose Rutgers over places like Hopkins, Uva, and Northwestern because it fit what I was looking for... I'm a pre-med and there were a lot of opportunities here in what I was looking for. The honors program offers a bunch of benefits including honors housing, honors sections of regular courses, and honors seminars. However, you should realize that you will still, of course, be a Rutgers student. Rutgers is nothing like an Ivy league because it's a large state school... something that I love. The huge school size leads to more opportunities on campus, more events, and more school spirit (thanks to the recent success of the athletic teams, mostly). If you have more specific questions, you can ask me.
