I'm a NJ resident planning on applying/attending Rutgers. One of their main draws, for me, is the outstanding philosophy department. For someone that wants to major in philosophy, such a great program is really attractive, especially when money is an issue and a state school is already the probable college pick.

So my questions go out to all those who have taken classes or majored in philosophy at Rutgers.

1) What is the curriculum like? Is it challenging?
2) Are the professors helpful or standoffish?
3) What are the class sizes like?
4) Do you think the program is ranked where it deserves to be ranked?
5) Do you feel prepared for a career or graduate school?

Thanks in advance to those who answer!
