I have been accepted into the Rutgers- New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program and Rutgers New Brunswick School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (no Honors program here). I am going to major in biological sciences and want to go to medical school after my undergrad. Which school should I accept considering the SAS has the honors program for me and SEBS does not?

Is there a difference in cost? Can you take the same courses at both colleges? Is there a priority system in getting your pre-med requirements done at either college? All things being equal I would take the honors program so you can have first choice of classes (if Rutgers does that).

Yes, the cost for both is the same and I can take the same courses but they are at different campuses of the college. Which one will look better when applying to medical school? SAS Honors with a biological sciences major or a SEBS,a “specialized” science campus with the same major ?

The Honors Program will give you special advising and priority registration, which you will really come to appreciate as you navigate your way through the RU bureaucracy. Medical schools will not care either way as long as you have all your pre-reqs and a good GPA.

I don’t know enough about your program to compare, but the SAS honors has honors housing which is important to some students, in addition to the other honors perks.
