Does anyone know when Rutgers will release merit scholarships and honors?
For my DD, the Honors College invites came in February. I can’t remember if the HC merit offer came at the same time.
The Honors Programs invites is a much larger group and those are managed by the individual schools, so I think they vary. I don’t remember when those came and they don’t automatically include merit, only HC does.
If you read back just a few posts - there are recent conversations on this topic. Hope this helps.
sorry, I am responding because i do not know how to make a separate post. I got into EMSOP RU pharmacy school. However, I am between this or a bio major at the SAS on the pre-pa track. I do not know which one to pick. Everyone keeps telling me that pharmacy is a dying profession and I saw that a lot of pharmacists are losing their job. Does anyone have any advice.
When were you accepted to EMSOP?
Hi cheesemaster00,
It’s very much up to you as what you really want to do. For me, I am pursuing pharmacy because I have relatives are pharmacists, and they are all doing well. Pharmacy is not limited to just community/retail pharmacy (and it’s absolutely not the field I am interested in). You can work in the hospital, health insurance companies, or pharmaceutical companies. The second reason I lean toward to pharmacy is because I know working directly with patients as a physician or a PA isn’t for me. So ask yourself, what you really love to do? I’m more interested in how drugs work and have high interest in drug innovation and discovery. If you work hard, have passion, and have a strong determination, you’ll be doing fine. Jobs not landed automatically after you graduated, and that applies to every major. You need to set yourself a higher bar compares to others by doing either dual-degree, or 2 years of residency to make yourself stand out as an applicant. I’ve been accepted to quite a few pharmacy schools. I just need to figure out which one is my best bet in term of tuition. Good luck! Hope I answered your question.
@cheesemaster00, do what you think you will be happy doing on a daily basis, and not based on what is an up and coming or dying profession. As someone pointed out, the careers are quite different. You may already realize that the pre-PA track offers no guarantee on admission to the Rutgers PA program. Competition for spots in MS PA programs is intense. While the 3 + 3 program exists, I was told by someone within the program that only about 2 or 3 applicants out of 10 in the program are admitted to the PA program.
I applied EA and still haven’t heard back yet from any of the schools…anyone else in the same boat as me?

Does anyone know if Rutgers sends out an admitted student portal after they get accepted?
just wondering, has anyone gotten denied or anything other than accepted because all I keep seeing are acceptances
We got SOE , still waiting on SAS
they do send links in the email but you can’t activate until we enroll or accept. Not sure anyone else figured out how to activate
