Rutgers University - New Brunswick

I'm currently in my junior year of high school and I've been interested in Rutgers NB because it is much cheaper than other private universities that have interested me and it has a great reputation... Plus, with the money my family saved up for college, I could graduate with absolutely no debt! I know that most students that are accepted range anywhere from the 3.0 to 4.0 GPA range, so I think I might have a shot, but I'm not sure if I have exactly what it takes.

In freshman year, I received a 3.7 and a 3.3 sophomore year. So far, my junior year isn't looking too great but there is still time for me to improve and a 3.7 by the end of the year is definitely not out of reach. As for the SATs, I haven't gotten my results back but after taking practice tests I know that I can score at least a 1500. This may change as I prepare more and get used to the SAT.

My ECs include
-Violin (Youth orchestra since 9th grade, private lessons since 3rd grade, multiple performances including several recitals, festivals, and a recital at Carnegie Hall)
-President of Diversity Club in high school since 10th grade
-Tennis Club member since 10th (JV)
-Co-Editor of the school newspaper
-Key Club member since this year
-Volunteering at my local hospital over the summer

I attend a public school out of state and I'm in the top half of my class. I have also been told that I'm a decent writer so I hope to use that to my advantage for the admission essay!

Are my grades good enough for Rutgers U NB? What should my minimum SAT score be?

bump…

anyone…?
