Rutgers versus JHU

Hello,

I was accepted to both Rutgers & JHU’s Masters of Science in Healthcare Mgt. (both online). Not sure which one to choose. Johns Hopkins admissions dept. has been amazing every step of the way. Rutgers, not so much. Rutgers is $22,000 cheaper that JHU, but JHU has the name. JHU’s program has classes that I have already taken with my MBA, do I feel like I am wasting money on several classes. Rutger’s program gets right to the healthcare classes and exactly what I need. Will employee prefer Rutgers or JHU?

Thanks

$22K altogether, or per year? How are you paying? Better yet, if you already have an MBA why are you pursuing an online MS in healthcare management? I don’t think you need another master’s; you probably just need experience in the healthcare industry.

Most employers won’t care, but for the ones that do JHU does have the better name particularly in this field. The admissions department isn’t always the best indicator of what the program will be like.
