+/-s in grades?

So when I came to high school, the general consesus was that A-s were the same as any other kind of A, whether it be A+ or A.

I've had reason to believe otherwise now, as people are telling me some private schools work differently (I know what I heard is true for UCs), but what about like.. Stanford and other top private schools?

I would appreciate it if anyone knew the answer to this question! Thanks!

Bump…I’m curious

I think its what GPA scale your on. Because an A-/A/A+ is all 4.0 at my school but schools that have a 100 point system might do it different.

its not. UCs, A=A-=A+

^Right, I have found that out to be true 100%. (I meant that the rumor, which A=A-=A+ was true at UCs, but I’m not sure about some privates).

ComeSailAway, I was curious if the colleges reevaluate it according to their own GPA scales (I would think they have to since some people might have like 7.0 GPA). And then when they did, if A- = A.

Thanks for the bump, Raiderade =)
