My condolences to David’s family and friends, including his many friends here.
I have enjoyed reading all of his detailed posts and his quick responses to children and their parents - so sad to hear this. What an incredible resource he was to all of us.
I am sad to hear about David’s passing. He has been a true wealth of knowledge her on CC and will be missed. My prayers and condolences to his family.
David, I don’t know how you did it, but it seemed like no matter what time of the day it was, if I had a question or needed clarification about moderating, you were always quick to respond. Most CC members were not aware of exactly how much he handled behind the scenes, from the routine spam stuff, to his passion for Tulane. I do hope his children eventually are made aware of his generous contributions here, and are able to read all these wonderful memories of his time on CC.
Just proof that there are real people behind the nicknames. God bless his family in their time of grief.
This is terrible news. My condolences to his family. The people who 'knew’him online will miss him and his balanced answers as well as his wealth of knowledge about Tulane.
I’m so sorry to hear this awful news. Sad to lose someone who gave so much of his time to benefit others.
Rest well David
Very sad. My condolences to his family.
I was so used to seeing the tulane mascot next to his name that when I saw a bumper sticker or t shirt with the tulane mascot I thought fallen chemist not tulane. (no joke)
Oh I’m so sad to learn this news. I’m also a Tulane alum and we had many positive offline chats. My condolences to his family. Our Tulane family as well.
So very sorry to read this. He will be missed on these boards. Condolences to his family and friends.
Every morning, I log in and look at the reports forum to see if there are any reports to act on. And every morning, I would see that David had taken care of all the ones that came in ALL NIGHT LONG. I don’t know how he did it. He must have needed very little sleep! Such a huge hole he will leave on CC.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He will most certainly be missed.
Fallen Chemist offered us encouragement and helpful insight on our college journeys. He will truly be missed.
I’m so sorry, my condolences to his family.
I couldn’t help but get chocked up when reading this news this morning. So sad, so very sad. To David’s family, my sincerest condolences. To those associated with Tulane, may his memory shine through in your live’s. To those who didn’t know his contributions as FallenChemist, to CC and Tulane specifically, he was a wealth of knowledge and a calming hand in a chaotic and anxious process. My God Bless you, David.
"Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he? "
Condolences to his family and his friends here. In my short time here he was definitely one of the people who made this place most valuable. I’ll try and live up to that standard, even though it is unlikely I am capable.
Condolences to family and friends. So sad when a prolific member/contributor leaves “us”. As you read people’s posts you do feel as if you have gotten to know them. Too very young to have paseed.
Very sorry to hear this, but thanks for keeping us in the loop. I always enjoyed David’s posts even though we have no connection to Tulane. Condolences to the family.
