guys do you think i stand a chance at Cornell RD?
My ideal plan was to apply for an ED admission but I am just not ready yet.
My humble stats are...
My GPA is about uw 3.74,5 ish and 4.1ish weighted.... SAT slightly over 2000...no SAT 2s. yet_planning on taking next month..no ap's,..my school only provides ap english, ap spanish, ap french...teachers and friends love me with a passion at school but i get the feeling that my counselor hates me...a few weeks ago i asked her if she liked me and she said yes but i believe that she thinks i am a stuckup......so my counselor rec would probably be just average at the best...EC's.nothing big but i have some leadership position at school and i participated in several activities with an enthusiasm.and sports..soccer...tennis.. I am really not motivated to do anything coz I dont want to go to any other school than cornell and yet i know that cornell is just a big reach for me...
what can i do?

get motivated

Definately find some target schools and safties. Cornell is a reach for a lot of people and right now your scores aren’t competitive. Furthermore, the aspects of your app that could redeem you seem to be lacking as well. I mean, you really have no control over what the recs are like (you can just hope that the teacher does you justice), but the fact that you haven’t taken any APs isn’t good. Colleges keep saying that they want to see how you’ve challenged yourself during high school. They understand that some schools don’t have as many APs as others but in that case they really expect to see that you’ve taken at least a number of those classes if not all of them.

i agree. can you switch into any of the ap classes?
