Safeties?

I'm currently a freshman at Penn and I'm looking to transer to either Pomona or Claremont Mckenna but I can see myself getting shut down by both. I want to get out of here so does anyone have suggestions for safeties, preferably LACs and not in the northeast? Thanks!

We would need to know how you are performing at Penn and perhaps your test scores, although I presume they were good if you are at Penn.

I should be getting 2 A's (one might be A-) and 2 grades in the B range (-, +) depends on the final...so over a 3.3? As far as test scores go I actually don't remember but they did get me into Penn so not too bad. For college extracurriculars I have the study of infectious diseases program, women in science, Penn bodybuilding, and helped register people to vote. Also, I'm Native American.

What about Pitzer or Scripps?

I don't know the west coast LACs that well. You might post a question about West Coast LACs on the Parent Forum, or search on that forum. There are lots of knowledgeable parents there on the subject and there have been many threads.

Possibility I know of beyond hmom5's good suggestions: Santa Clara University (small, somewhat of a LAC type feel). One I've heard a lot of good things about but don't know: Whitman.

You seem to have a lot going for you, but I agree it's a good idea to have some safe options on your list.

yeah for sure...cmc rejected me the first time around and I was a recruited athlete. My essays must have been pretty terrible
