<p>I am applying to the schools listed and as you can see I am a SoCal resident but do not mind leaving my state (even country). I would prefer to go to a school that can give me financial aid. For the longest time I thought I could get into most or atleast some of the schools I am planning to apply to, but from research it seems that my only Matches/Safeties are ASU, UCR and UCM, and was looking to see if there are any other schools I should look into. </p>
<p>@woogzmama I bumped this “duplicate” thread as it was buried due to when I had posted it, the other thread was linked as it already has my stats, but the responses are chances for schools I am planning to apply to and not recommendations for safety and match schools for me (with the exception of one comment) which is what I am looking for here.</p>
<p>I think that, for the sort of majors you have expressed interest in, you should be looking at some larger, less-selective public universities. The lower-tier UCs, some CSUs, Arizona State, Oregon State, and most state flagships other than the elite ones (e.g. Wisconsin-Madison) that you listed. You might have a shot at Temple, in Philadelphia, which has some excellent departments. Otherwise, most state universities have excellent science and technology departments, with resources that smaller colleges lack. What about Virginia Tech? Texas A & M? </p>
<p>@woogzmama I’m a bit confused by your comment, should I look into less selective schools than UWisconsin Madison or are you suggesting that it is a near match for me? Sorry, it’s been a long day lol</p>
