FA is of great concern, my stats are quite average but I can write very well, my recommendations will be stellar and I am willing to go literally anywhere in the country.
Right now I'm also looking at Goucher, Earlham, Cornell College and Reed (Reed and Oberlin are my super reach schools).

lewis and clark, lawrence, beloit, evergreen state, willamette, UNC asheville, hampshire

Colorado College might also be a good choice since it is test flexible and has the one course at a time schedule like cornell college, but it is as selective (if not more) than oberlin

Lawrence in WI
Macalaster in Mn

also look into Skidmore (not sure how much aid they give out) and Muhlenberg (often generous with merit aid). FYI, I do know two people who got very strong merit aid packages from Goucher as well.

Another vote for Beloit, Lawrence, and Willamette. Three excellent schools with admission rates you can reason with. Might also look at Knox, especially for writing.

Check out Bard College as well.

Thank you, guys! Any suggestions further south?

Occidental
New College of Florida (not really similar to Oberlin though)

All the above are good suggestions (though Macalester, Bard, and Colorado College are nearly as selective as Oberlin.)

Look at the Colleges That Change Lives site for more good options.

Also some of the public LACs such as St. Mary’s College of MD.

Maybe Warren Wilson College in North Carolina?
