But I am now starting to worry that I won't get in to (or won't get enough financial aid from) the colleges I am applying to, so I'm looking to find some schools that have the same feel as these, but are less competitive to get in to. I'll take any suggestions, so far all I know of is Dickinson, which I need to look more into. Thanks!

On the theory that you want a small to medium sized school, reasonably liberal and you don't mind whether it's in or near a city, here are some suggestions:

Skidmore
Hobart and William Smith
Beloit
Lawrence
Clark University
Tulane

Also, if you're female, you could take a look at Mt. Holyoke or Smith

W/O knowing much about you..but seeing Colgate on your list, how about considerign Hamilton...1/2 hr from Colgate. Others might be Colby, Holy Cross and Bates. True safeties would be UVM, Denison, Providence and Loyola (MD).

Look at Ohio Wesleyan and Occidental. How about USC? Tulane gives good aid- check it out, definitely. Boston U and George Washington U are both urban mega-universities with high tuitions, but both give pretty good aid. They are competitive, but still have enough space to accept all good applicants.

Oxford University. It’s a 40-50% acceptance if you apply to study Classics, or Music, or … let’s see… Theology is about 30%, so is English and Chemistry.

Don’t forget to state Ancient Greek (rather than Latin) for Classics, cos those applicant species became extinct a while ago. Pretty much nobody applies.

But I am now starting to worry that I won’t get in to (or won’t get enough financial aid from) the colleges I am applying to,

I don’t understand some of the above suggestions.

A safety isn’t just a school that the student will get accepted to. A safety is a school that the student knows for SURE that she can afford to attend. Sure, this student is likely to get ACCEPTED to some/many of the above-mentioned schools, but at this point, we have no idea if they are affordable.

No one knows if the student can afford to attend the above-mentioned schools.

Almostmidnight…

For us to recommend true safeties for you, we need to know…

1) Do you have a good idea of what your expected family contribution will be and whether your family can pay it?

2) Are you aware that UCs really only give decent aid to lowish income students. Many students with need get gapped big time at UCs.

3) How much will your parents pay for college each year?
