Safety Schools

I just got my acceptance letter from IU (they have rolling admissions). So that Safety's secure :D

Hmmm, I hear that Chicago is crazy competetive, like to a Juilliard-like degree. This, depending on your preference, may not be bad, but it doesn't sound like much fun.

Yeah, I don't think I'm applying to the T-ride houses if I go to Cornell.
U Mich, well, the app is too long, and it's two planes for me to get there, not worth it, lol.

nwu, wash u, u of m, nyu

northwestern uni a safety? i heard it was a tough school to get into. how does it stack up to w&m/uva (my matches)?

uvas not a safety if you're not from virginia

Neither UVA nor William and Mary are safety schools for you if you are out of state. Ha ha!

Groovin said those were his/her matches, not safeties.

oh, oops, sorry. and as far as i know, i dont think northwestern is usually a safety although my friend last year considered it as such and did get in.

I actually did use UVA as a safety (I'm in-state) but, even though, I shouldn't have counted on it. There were definitely points where I freaked out that I wasn't going to get in anywhere.

"Neither UVA nor William and Mary are safety schools for you if you are out of state. Ha ha!"

At least for once I can be proud of being Virginian :)

jk...I love VA....Northern VA. It is actually a lot harder to get in if you are from NoVA as there are so many outstanding applicants....like 1/3 of TJ ends up there....besides in all other schools in Fairfax all the top students are applying. Same is true for Falls Church and other good school districts.

UVA can be pretty random at times, so I wouldn't call it a safety. Someone from our school with 760/780 bunch of IBs and good GPA got rejected last year.
