Safety schools

Seton Hall? Fairfield? Mercer? South Carolina?

Thanks for recommendations . Good schools to check out.

Temple. Also has a test optional option that allows consideration for honors college and scholarships.

What’s your budget? Have you run the NPC and found all universities affordable?

What does he want to study? Emerson College in Boston is very well respected in media/communications and isn’t prohibitively selective. Babson and Bentley in suburban Boston might be worth looking at. They’re geared more toward those who want to study business. They’re highly regarded but not crazy hard to get into. If you don’t mind Catholic schools, try Providence College in Providence, RI. Providence the city is actually a pretty cool place these days.

OP mentioned international relations in post #0.

@maddiec

I would look at the UNC system. campuses in mid to large cities would include:
UNC-Charlotte
UNC-Greensboro
UNC-Wilmington
East Carolina
UNC-Asheville

here are some other schools in larger urban areas
Houston
South Florida
Central Florida
Cincinnati
Georgia State
Louisville

Did he submit scores to American?

@MYOS1634 yes , we have checked out numbers . We are ok financially .

@sheepskin00 . He wants to study international relations . Was looking at Emerson , but they don’t really have an it focus, more a minor . He would love to be in Boston . Was looking at Bentley yesterday . Seems more of a business focus , and seems to be getting more competitive . Not sure if it’s a safety. Will look at abandon. Providence College could be a thought . I think he wants to stay away from religious schools, but it may be worth considering .

@Wien2NC Great suggestions . He’s funny ( and I should have specified this ), he’s not wanting to go south. Likes the north east the most , but those are schools worth considering .

@wisteria100 yes , he did . I know he falls right below the range , but someone affiliated with the school suggested we submit .

@ucbalumnus I guess I must’ve missed it when I read the post. I’m so sorry.

Ohio State, in Columbus, is on lists of top schools for International Relations. Overall acceptance rate 49%; don’t know if OOS rate is significantly lower or not.
