Salisbury U recently popped up on our radar and on paper it looks promising for son. Does anyone have any unofficial intel they would be willing to share?

The two students I know who are there, are very happy. I have the impression that it is small enough that it is easy for students to develop strong relationships with their faculty. The specific complaint that I have heard is about limited on-campus housing. Juniors and seniors must find a place to live off campus.

Thank you! That is exactly the kind of info I am hoping to learn.

Daughter visited in July and liked it. Was accepted and we will have to go back when students are on campus. Have already been through all the other “review” sites and it is a mixed bag. Saw the limited housing situation. Have read through SU master plan and they do intend on building, renovation, replacing housing but that could be 2-10 yrs.

Looking for info on
-academic
-career services/internships
-are students happy there?
-safety off-campus
-helpfulness of administrations and professors
-any other points.

Salisbury has its own forum on CC (under colleges, see alphabetical list), but I guess it may not have a ton of info since it is a small school. Worth reading through the existing posts though…

Has anyone from her high school enrolled there in the past few years? Her guidance counselor might be able to help her get in touch with someone who can give you the insider view.

Is there a student newspaper? Look for an online version, and read several issues. You’ll find out what students are thinking.

-No one has attended there from her school in the last 3 or more years, as to my knowledge.
-will check again under cc for SU
-good point online school paper. Usually they are posted online weeks after the publish date, but will check.
thanks all
