If Hispanic is culture, would I still be Hispanic though I do not speak Spanish? My mother is Salvadoran (maiden name Madrano, born in the US though), and my father is white. I can prove my race if needed to universities/scholarships, but I cannot speak much Spanish at all. Does it matter? I cant really say I identify with being Hispanic because of it, but I also don't identify with being just white. I'm mixed and I identify as that.
