<p>I am an incoming freshman who will major in Microbiology.
Do you have any opinion about Samsung Series 9 (15 inch) ultrabook? What about for science majors like microbiology?</p>
<p>I was considering those laptops when I was looking at computers. They look great, and they should be fine for any major. I was a bio major in college, and in my experience, pretty much any new laptop nowadays will work fine.</p>
<p>I think a Series 9 would be absolutely beautiful. I am actually jealous because that laptop is no slouch. As baktrax said, most new computers will be fine for the task. Just stay away from some of the AMD based laptops(AMD A6 or lower) and some Intel Pentium/Celeron based computers.</p>
