My friend’s portal still says pending. what could this mean because rejections and acceptances and wait lists have already come out?

@eca1998: SDSU will still have acceptances/rejections/waitlist results trickling out until the end of March. If your friend is concerned, they could send a friendly email inquiry to see if they are still sending out decisions. Many transfers have still not heard either.

My portal is still pending too, I mailed them and they said they are still reviewing my application, I’m an international student though
Hello all! I am currently a Freshman in High School(Yes I know I’m a little young)but I was wondering when SDSU starts looking at your grades? First of all you should know I’m from Minnesota so I’m Out of State obviously. I have a 3.75 CSU GPA and was wondering if they looked at your grades from 9th grade in High School? Thanks and Go Aztecs!
@abramson6: SDSU and most CSU’s use 10-11th grades for their GPA calculation but will consider 9th grades to make sure that you fulfill the a-g course requirements. As an OOS applicant, only AP/IB or DE courses will get the extra honors points in the CSU GPA calculation.
SDSU will rank you based on major and Eligibility index (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR) or (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT comp X10). They then accept from the top EI down until all spots are filled. Local SD applicants do get priority along with in-state CA residents.
@Gumbymom just quick question, for oos do the CSU’s count college courses as honors points in calculating your GPA?
So they won’t use this years actual grades but will see what courses I took? @Gumbymom
@abramson6: Yes, you self report all grades 9th-11th on your CSU application. College courses do count as Honors courses 10-11th grade but the honors points are capped at 8 semesters.

Just got waitlisted by SDSU and accepted to UCLA !! Peace out Aztecs
I was waitlisted into SDSU. Kind of came as a shock since I have a high GPA and a pretty good SAT. But I just called SDSU’s office of admissions to find out if the freshman waitlist is ranked or not, and it is, however they will not disclose to you where your status is on that list. We will have to wait until after May 1st when SDSU notifies waitlisted students if they are admitted or not.

I am accepted to SDSU. YEAH !!! Any advice for incoming freshmen? Would you have done anything differently ? How are the dorms and the meal plans ? Can we request certain dorms? Are there any to avoid ? Did you rush ? what are your thoughts about the sororities on campus ?

Well, SDSU was originally my safety school, but now with the way my chips have fallen it seems that I will, in fact, be attending this fall. Of course it is a very good school and my father went there, so there isn’t much for me to be upset about.
I was accepted early in December and they asked me to apply for their Honors College. I was waitlisted there so we’ll see if I get in, but even if I did I probably wouldn’t want to go since I want to try to graduate in 3 years (and get in to an amazing grad. school). We’ll see, good luck everyone.
