I'm from San Jose, California and around here if you want to be a lawyer, Santa Clara is where you want to go.

In conversations with Pre-Law students, Law school students, professors, and attorneys, I've been told that Santa Clara Law ought to be my top priority school.

There is one attorney I spoke with who works for a firm in San Francisco and is getting ready to work at a big firm in New York. She told me that law schools like Yale and Harvard were her safety schools in case she didn't get into Santa Clara. Hearing this made me more determined to find my self sitting a law classroom at Santa Clara University.

It’s a good regional school. I’ve known many excellent lawyers who went there. But most people would probably rank it fourth among Bay Area law schools, behind Stanford, Berkeley, and Hastings.

haha. Santa Clara is a joke. Are you serious?

I’m thinking the OP’s tongue is firmly in his cheek.

I don’t think college confidential has been adequately introduced to the concept of “flame.”

The OP has no history here of ■■■■■■■■, and demonstrates a long-standing interest in Santa Clara.

I was serious when I said that that I’ve known many excellent attorneys who graduated from Santa Clara. I once formed a law firm with one; I reported to another Santa Clara grad in an in-house who has a well deserved reputation for sheer brilliance.

reasonably high chance of flame. in the other thread OP said Santa Clara should be considered alongside Yale and Harvard

Wow. I’m an idiot. I can’t believe I actually took this seriously for a second.
