Santa Clara or Loyola Marymount

My daughter is having a hard time deciding between Santa Clara and LMU. She wants to go into environmental science.
Does anyone have any suggestion on which college would be a better pick. She likes outing club activities, she is unsure about Greek life but would consider. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

My D goes to LMU. I think Greek life is not much of a factor…they don’t have residences. Her roommate is in a sorority and they do activities, service stuff, parties, so it is there, but without the residences, it’s a different Greek life experience.

She has a lot of great friends and loves it there a lot…I don’t think there is anything she would really change . Sorry, don’t know anything about Santa Clara. LMU is Jesuit, so there are some religion or ethics/philosophy courses required, but there is not religious pressure, or really religious focus…the Jesuit focus there is more on service and using education to benefit not only yourself, but your world and community.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Santa Clara is a beautiful school and has become much more competitive admission. And it’s a Silicon Valley gem. LMU is a really a nice option as well.
