I noticed that many of the schools to which my DS is applying offer a form for an optional recommendation (beyond the required Math/English). Three years ago when my DD was applying, she used Gateway and I remember these optional forms being available there. This third form doesn’t seem to be an option on SAO however, and it’s not part of the individual school supplement. Am I missing something on SAO that I’m not seeing? If not, how are you handling it? I was just going to print out paper copies of the forms from each school’s website, and have DS provide these along with stamped and addressed envelopes to his third recommender. That method seems very “analog” to me however 
@GMC2918 I think SAO does not provide a way to let your child submit optional recommendation, and you probably have to do it somewhere on the respective school’s website. I am also very confused now, that you pointed it out. Someone help please?
I’m working from memory here, but I believe that the few schools to which my DD applied via SAO also accepted Gateway applications. Since the SAO did not allow for additional recommendations, she used the Gateway form and mailed the additional recommendations directly to the schools, on a Gateway form.
Thanks @GoatMama , I was able to find the supplemental forms on the school websites as well. So I guess I will just print them out and give them directly to the recommenders. I was just wondering if I was missing another way to approach this, or if anyone had asked the schools directly?
