SAP Financial Aid Suspension

So I was placed on Financial Aid suspension for the summer 2019 ur to my low cumulative GPA of 1.97, mostly due to my immaturely in the fall semester where I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to major in and slacked of school work. Fall semester I took 5 classes where I graded 2 C’s, 2 D’s and an F. Which gave me a cumulative GPA do 1.31 (including a college course I took in high school). Pretty bad, ik. But for the spring semester I took another 5 classes grading 3 B’s and 2 C’s which gave me a GPA of 2.66, but the cumulative GPA was still below the 2.0 requirement. Mid through my second semester I was Carpal tunnel surgery which inhibited my ability to write and in one of classes I scored a C on requires a lot of hand written assignments, which affected my grades almost two letter grades. So my question is do I have a case for an appeal?

You won’t know if an appeal will be granted until you file the appeal & get an answer. Meet with an academic advisor & draw up an academic plan. Determine what services might be available, such as tutoring, and make a plan of how you will use them to help you do better in school. Write an appeal that explains what you did wrong and outline your plan of what you will do to make sure things improve. Include your academic plan. Then wait & see what happens.
