I submitted our FAFSA at the end of February, and one correction 2 days after that. there is a link on the FAFSA site that says you can view your SAR, but all I get when I go there is the option to see our original FAFSA or the corrected one. Should there be something else? This is our first year at this so I'm not sure what should be there.

When I did the FAFSA I had our taxes done but not filed yet. Would that slow things down? Do I need to go into the FAFSA and tell them our taxes are filed? It won't change any of the FAFSA numbers.

It sounds like you are going to the correct place to view your SAR…now you just need to decide, do you want to view the original or the corrected version.

Once you have filed the 2008 return, you need to check the figures that were submitted to ensure they all match and change the “will file” to “already completed”.

Oh, so what I’ve been looking at IS the SAR. I thought it would be an official looking thing. Ok, this is year one of at least 8 years of FAFSA filings…lots to learn. Thanks!
