can somebody please speak on whether sarah lawrence or bennington is better for a theatre major who wants to be an actress? they’re both good for what i want but obviously i can only go to one
Bennington is highly ranked for theater. The field work term might be useful. Then again Sarah Lawrence is close to NYC.
Here is an article for grad applicants to use in deciding.Might be helpful for undergrad too.

Theatre | Sarah Lawrence College
This ranking has Sarah Lawrence at #16 and no mention of Bennington Best College Theater | The Princeton Review
The rankings obviously vary depending on criteria. I would honestly decide based on other factors since both are good for theater. Bennington is a beautiful campus in VT and Sarah Lawrence is a beautiful campus in a suburb of NYC. Look at program structure, performance opportunities, social factors and of course “vibe.”

As stated, you need to give the edge to one of your choices. As an opinion, consider choosing Sarah Lawrence for its lower Hudson Valley location and proximity to New York City, which would seem to offer you opportunities related to your interests.
