SAS Honors

I'm looking for input from people currently in this program. Is it worth it? What are the real advantages of participating? I know what they said at the program they had at the school. But that's a sales pitch. I want to know from regular students what they really feel about the program - positive or negative.

I’m in the honors program. SO down to it, what are the advantages:
-Better dorm selection and guaranteed housing.
-Easier access to honors classes with better teachers, smaller classes, etc.
-It looks nice when applying for basically anything.

Those are the main ones, though there may be some scholarships or whatever I’m missing. It’s mostly a positive as far as I can tell. The housing thing was really important because I had an awful lottery number and I still got into McCormick. Did I mention that deans consider helping you a priority?

agreed. there are about 4 deans for the honors kids meaning maybe 300 kids per dean. (numbers might be wrong not positive). but for the other nonhonors kids there are so many more kids per dean its ridiculous
