@eperdimil i got 5/64, but i dont really care since i already have an 800 math, but im glad to see u also got weary and complacent

It was 5/64. He gave away 3/8 of the collection to one person, then 7/8 of the remaining to another person.

Epidermill, I solved it in a different fashion.
Say the guy had 100 bucks. He gives away 3/8 of it, leaving him 100-((3/8)(100)) = 62.5
He takes the 62.5 and gives away 7/8 of it, leaving him 62.5-((7/8)(62.5)) = 7.8125

7.8125 / 100 is 5 / 64

Same fraction with other numbers

And that equal 5/64? I got 1/4…
If he take 3/8 from his collection it would be 5/8 and then he take 7/8 from that… Omg #confusion math problems…

Thank you.
I knew I was wrong because there is no place to bubble 43/64, but now I understand my mistake – I read it wrong. There goes the 800…

I really, really hate Collegeboard. This time limit thingy is truly a meaningless factor that is being overprioritized in this test.

yeah i hate collegeboard. i get a damn perfect on PLAN reading, but cr has been my weakness.

I knew I should have listened to the Princeton Review and plugged in some convinient #'s :[
But there was this voice in my head : “Be better than the PR, be better then the PR !!!”"

u guys got hard to believe for the astronomy one right

I think the time limit is unjust for the essay. Like we have to have it pre-written before the test to finish it. If I only had 5 more freakin minutes…

That essay COMPLETELY screwed me over…If I had done well on that I’d probably have gotten a 2000+…I think I got 1700-1900…Oh well, not bad for my 1st time I guess. The last 4 sections were VERY simple. Glad that’s done with though lol.

LOL FOR THE ESSAY I WROTE ABOUT THE SAT and how as i progress through the problems, the number is DECREASING NOT INCREASING LOL for an example

idealistic
realistic
soley/simply
civics/and career of childrens
helping children with their interests
snide
higher education
anticipate/response

i got fundamental for simply?

I agree that 25 minutes to write a complete essay is awful…

Same here.
A good argument can be made in favor of both solely and fundamentally, which again makes me wonder what is the point of such a question anyway. Such arguments will vary only in opinion; solid evidence exists for both.

yeah i know, you were right dawg, but are you good on the others?

essay-what kind of examples did u guys use?
also for the cr-- was “simply”–> fundamental? or solely?

i dont think i got the children thing. i THINK i got the rest same though

How does a 25 minute essay gauge your abilities? When in life will we have to write a paper or essay in 25 minutes? Some people freak out and cannot write well under pressure. However, these same people are often amazing at writing, as their college essays will show.

Stupid collegeboard. I fart in your general direction.

I don’t Really run into problems with the essay. I spend 3 amounted thinking of my thesis, intro, conclusions, and making up examples, then power through it. I wrote exactly to the end of the 2nd page with about 1:30-45 to spare.
