SAT 1 Math VS. SAT Math Subject Test 2

Hey guys! Let me know what you think about these two tests’ scoring. Has anybody else received a widely different score on one than the other? Is so, post it!
Personally, I got a 660 on the Math in the regular SAT 1 and a 780 on the Math level 2 subject test (studying zero for both of them). Kinda concerned about this difference…

Math 2 is a little more complex if you like harder stuff or are more advanced in math. The SAT 1 can just be a little trickier. Also the curve is much more generous for the math 2

But is the curve 120 points more generous, or do I have the potential to increase SAT 1 Math?

You were wasting your time if you took both. Math II is sufficient and better if you have taken Pre-Calculus. And yes, the curve on Math I is notoriously bad.

Sorry maybe I should have clarified, the 660 on SAT 1 Math was not a subject test, just my math sub score of the normal SAT, while the 780 was the subject test level 2. So I have to take both.

Yes, that is a very strange discrepancy, but it doesn’t say anything more than it being strange.

I’m in a similar boat. 740 SAT I, 800 Math II.

The SAT I is literally all about avoiding careless mistakes. Manage that and you can get 800 easily. 780 Math II is really good and indicates solid math skills. You’ll do fine.
