there was a question about plant cells dividing?
dont remember that
but yeah same i missed 1 in RNA, one in plant division, one about immune system, and probably more i dont even know about but 4 for sure
Nope. That was only for May.
@jwkknd83kd
hey i found another more optimistic conversion chart:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1171357-sat-2-curves.html
plant division question was something about it only happening at meristems
was it in the E section?
i dont remember it at all
i did e
@jwkknd83kd
That curve is much nicer. I hope we get one similar to that.
@nicknick567 if I skipped 3 and I know I got 3 wrong what do you think my score is going to be?
780? @onlyworthypotato
@nicknick567 btw I never understood the red soil gray soil questions what were their right answers was it elevation
ughh dang it i thought it was meristem dividing but i went back and changed it anyways ugh
^for the plant cell dividing one
For the second question about the sagebrush and pine, I’m pretty sure it was I and II only. IIRC, the image showed a relatively flat area and the sagebrush only grew on gray soil, so that has nothing to do with climate. Also, if the answer to the first question is “The plants grew at different elevations because the types of soil were at different elevations”–which people seem to agree it is–then that just supports the point that the soil is the determining factor! What do people think?
I think I might have been smart enough to skip that one!
do yall think the curve will be average or better? feel like the core questions were slightly harder at some parts…
hopefully good because this was harder than the practice tests in the college board book and that curve wasn’t that bad
does anyone know of an accurate scale? I feel like the one on this website might be too lenient
I know that 4 blank and 2-3 wrong is usually an 800. However, the curve also apparently differs from Bio-E to Bio-M, with the latter being more lenient. I’m one of those people who had “never leave anything blank” drilled into their heads by their parents as a toddler, so I always answer every question. If you get 2 wrong, it’s definitely an 800 – however, I’m not sure about more than that. 4 blank is also definitely an 800. I think around 7-8 wrong or 10 blank is a 740-750, but I’m not too sure about that.
@Spelledwithak the reason i’m worried is that after checking my answers i know that I got 3 wrong…
I know -2 is still an 800, but -3 varies with the curve…
Also I took Bio M if that helps me
Also getting 3 questions wrong gives you a higher raw score than leaving 4 blank
76.25 vs 76
which means -3 is definitely an 800 O.o ? In my prep book, 76 is a 790
