Let's discuss problems in sat biology. I am taking biology m. I have'nt studied biology since june last year. I am pretty rusty, just reviewing the topics. Feel free to post any difficult questions from practice tests.

Hey I’m also taking the May biology exam. I’m going to buy prep books/tests tomorrow and them I’m gonna decide on E/M. Do you have any recommendations for books to buy?

I took bio e last year. I only took bio honors as a freshman and read the barrons book. it got me a 740 so I would recommend the Barrons one. It was much harder than the real one (i was getting like 670s on the Barrons practice tests)

Okay thanks! About how many hours did you study?

Yep, doing biology this May too.

Anywhere from 30 min-1.5 hours a day. But, much of it was review for my bio final exam at the same time. If you havent done bio for a a while, i’d recommend much more studying

Im in AP Bio, so I know a lot of it.

Okay… But for how many days…?

I studied for about 1.5 months, so just start asap and you should be well off. Plus, being in AP Bio will help ALOT. Most of the stuff in the books for me was new because it was so in depth. But w/ AP Bio u should have covered everything

So i’ve completed cliff’s ap biology. I still find evolution and diversity pretty confusing. Also, havin zero practice tests available doesn’t really help my confidence.(i don’t have the prep books). How’s your prepping going you guys?

Just realized i have’nt even registered for the test. Btw i’m taking phy, chem and bio on the same day. ■■■

Hello…On january i have done chemistry sat II and now in May i was registered for the Biology…

Can someone tell me…IS IT TRUE THAT ON BIOLOGY TEST THERE IS MANY GRAPHICH ANALYSIS WHICH…I HEARD THAT THAT GRAPHICH ANALYSIS IS A BIT HARD IS IT TRUE??..THANKS!

I’m taking it too! I’ve taken three practice tests, scores ranging from a 550 to a 650 LOL. Still need more study. e__e

I’ve found Princeton’s SAT II bio helpful though. I’m studying for the AP bio exam as well, so I’m sort of just using my AP bio books to help me study. I like Cliff’s AP best, followed by Barron’s, but Princeton Review’s AP study guide barely has anything.

I’m studying by looking through CliffsAP and Barron’s SAT, along with my AP Bio class. It’s about a half hour of reading a day. Honestly, I’m a bit more worried about my World History subject test.

I’m new at the whole studying-for-AP exams and SAT II’s. While reviewing information is obviously very important, I don’t really know how well it’s sticking. Am I better off loading up on practice tests and just being really familiar and comfortable with the style of the questions I’ll see on these tests (along with review)? It seems like a fact really sticks with me when I go back and realize I got it wrong on a practice test.

I’m so dead for my AP exams lol. I decided to take AP bio, psych and world history exams this year, procrastinated times a million, and now I have less than two months to prepare for all three. Whoops.

But yeah, Cliffs AP is great, Barron’s is decent, as well as the Princeton Review SAT II (NOT AP, I found typos in that and it barely gave me any information)

Hey guys, I would recommend the SAT Biology book by Kaplan. I studied it for about 3 weeks before I took the Biology M test. All my practice tests said I would make around 600, but my actual test score was 780 The book did a really good job of preparing me in a short time. And I had forgotten a lot of biology; I was in honors bio my freshman year and only about halfway through AP Bio (I’m a senior, and I took the test in January this year). So I definitely recommend the book. I got it from Barnes & Noble for like 20 bucks.

So i need help!! Im thinking of taking the sat 2 for biology, and i havent done anything and my last bio class was 2 years ago. Is it easy for biology

^ Definitely. Last time I studied biology was in grade 9, and what I took covered nothing in this exam. Buy Barron’s for SAT 2 Bio and you’ll be just fine.
