SAT 2 Literature- 760 8th grade

Hey guys,

I took the SAT 2 Lit in 8th grade just to try it out and got a 760. How "good" is a 760 on this test considered? I probably won't retake it (it's a relief to have gotten it over with) but I was just wondering, comparatively, how that score would look.

Thanks!

I’m pretty… sure that you can only use scores from test taken in 9th to 12th grade, but you’d have to check that to be sure. But if you can score that as an 8th grader, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got a perfect score once you’re in high school. Nevertheless, retaking a 760 really isn’t necessary.

Thanks-- You do have to go through a special procedure to get middle school grades “counted”, which I did (send a letter and whatnot.) If a 760’s good enough for high level colleges, I’m not going to be neurotic and retake :)

Wow congrats! That is a great score! I am also an 8th grader and I took the SAT II test in biology (M). I got an 800 and I was ecstatic! But a 760 is a really good score as well. Pretty much anything over a 750 means you are well qualified.

Haha wow congrats to you too! I’m actually a sophomore now-- starting to think about colleges and how good my old lit score would look. (Taking the Chem one this saturday, whoohoo :)

Unncessary. Good Job on the score though

To the OP: That’s an excellent score!
