I'm a junior who registered for three SAT 2s on May 6th. However, at the test center, I decided that I won't take chemistry. The person proctoring the test said that would invalidate all my scores, so I asked my school's SAT person, who called the Collegeboard people. They told me that as long as I didn't start the chem test (which I didn't), my other scores would count. For some reason, I grow more and more worried. Anyone have a similiar experience or have any words of wisdom for my case? Can anyone confirm what the Collegeboard person told my SAT person?

I'm sure your scores will be fine...you can opt not to take a test if you want to; I'm sure of it. Your proctor must have been misinformed.

If you decide NOT to take the test, yes, you can simply just not take it the day of testing. However if you DO take the test that day and decide to cancel your score later, all your tests you took that day will be completely voided (provided you go through with canceling). So in your situation, you're completely fine.

wait....does this mean that since i registered for 2 tests for saturday that i can take just 1 if i don't start the 2nd one?????....please answer ASAP!!!

not that i know anything about it ,but from what they said ..yea it does...(dont take my words for granted though i dunno) ..O and i think i saw on CB website somewhere that u can "Switch" a test uve registered for on one day for another not ..just curious though..what 2 tests did u register for ?

""wait....does this mean that since i registered for 2 tests for saturday that i can take just 1 if i don't start the 2nd one?????....please answer ASAP!!!""

Yes.... in fact, you could take 3 even though you're registered for two. You could also take one or zero. as long as you don't bubble in that you're starting a test, and then don't do it, i am certain that you will be fine.

wait..you can take THREE..if u registered for TWO.???..does that mean that i can take MATH 1 C ...WITH bio even though i only registered for bio???!??!

Yup, you can definitely do that. In fact, that's what I'm doing this Saturday - I registered only for Lit but I think I'm also gonna take up Bio on the spot.

Yep, you can definitely decide to take another on test day; they just bill you (well, your parents most likely) later.

Thirty minutes before scores are released, my account stats have changed from completing all three SAT 2 to just the two I took. So it seems all is well on the eastern front.

Scores usually aren't released until 5AM of the release date, not 12AM. ;x

In regards to the OP, with the SAT Subject Tests, you can add tests, decide to not take tests, or switch tests. They're very flexible about it all, as long as you pay enough money!

wait wait...if i take another test on the spot..do i havea to pay late fee or w.e..and if so how much is it ?
(assuming i already regsitered for one)

Not sure how much it costs, but you can find out by asking the instructor. The College Board will bill you for the extra fee later, I assume through the snail mail.
