No, but not investigating Harvard’s website prior to posting a thread on College Confidential might impact what others may think about you: https://college.harvard.edu/admissions/apply/application-process/sat-subject-tests
I have seen that. Is there a way to indicate that it would be a hardship?
^^ No, as Harvard is need-blind, meaning there is a fire-wall between your application and your financial need, so Admissions doesn’t know – and doesn’t care – why you didn’t submit any SAT Subject Tests. As SAT Subject tests are now optional, your reason doesn’t matter, nor is it considered in the process of reviewing your application. Bottom Line: you have to take Harvard at their word, and accept what is written on their website.
Thank you so much for the help!
My guess would be that they tie the hardship with fee waivers although I could be wrong.
