SAT 4 Free Score Reports

I’m taking the SAT for the first time this October (Going to be a junior) and I have four free score reports. I’m not sure how I’m going to do, so I do not want to send my scores to my top school choices. However, I want to take advantage of the free reports while I have them. Some of the schools I’m looking into like UMD and UPenn require all SAT scores to be sent in anyway. Does that mean I should send my score to those schools because I am going to have to eventually?

By default, unless you explicitly do score choice, all your old scores will be sent if you decide to send scores after a later sitting. However, scores you send now will not be updated if you retake.

You actually have a little time after you take the test to update your score list, no need to fill in your choices today.

How is ypur pratice score? Any chance for NMSF? That would be one safe way to use the free score.

Thanks for the response. I think I’ll see how I feel after the test and base my decision off how I think I did, because I have time after to update the score list. If a college requests all scores, do I have to pay individually for each one to be sent?

No. SAT score is cumulative by default. It includes all previous scores unless you choose not to.

If you used a fee waiver for the SAT, you can send the free score reports anytime you want I think.

Lot’s of misinformation here.

Every time you take the test you get four free sends. You can choose to send old scores with a new sitting of the test. You can use score choice but I’m not sure you can exclude the current test with free scores.

You have nine days after you take the test to use the four free scores. After that you pay.

I did not provide misinformation. According to the link above, a student who is eligible for a SAT fee waiver can use four free score reports anytime during high school.

I do not know if this applies to OP but I wanted to provide the information for others.
