AND THIS IS THE WEIRD PART
for writing (para correction)
answers were
-medicine with a colon (fix sentence) "take drugs, for example" i put "one example is medicine: blah blah blah"
- however
and for the last 2 (which told you to fix the sentences), answers were "as it is now" rite? original paragrpah had no mistake? rite????
i just remember 2 other writing questions and i didnt fix them....
did you have this??????????

wait i thought it was "regarding drugs,............" cause i thought u cant say one example it didnt make sense. and i got two (as it is now) the first and last para one. and what about the one with forefinger and thumb?

and anyone agree with the follwoing
1... in its treatment.. should be for treatment -i did not choose that
2. something about last miles were hard for them and me.. no error? -no error
3. already was able to ... - mistake - don't remember
4. deciderous desirous should be desirable
5.to those of us who had,, should be for those of us who had... (near the end) -my friends and i had no error for that one
6. paragraph correction...
2 answers were "as it is now" - i got only 1
and one was "to this sentiment"
"however" - in other words
-something about medicine

what was the passage before the asian ones. I got hold back on that one and therefore didn't finish that section.
and for the one with the medicine I think I chose the one with the colon.
How can you guys remember like almost every answer you chose? Did you actually sit there and memorize it?

this thread is utterly incomprehensible to me. anyway,
denounce pragmatic
resolute polemic

didn't get THOSe. chose something else. idealists won't denounce pragmatic things, will they? please....i NEED a good score on this one....
and polemic can't be it because polemic means 'A person engaged in or inclined to controversy, argument, or refutation', when the guy in the sentence did not 'like arguing about them'.

the above polemic def., i just looked up. while testing i thought it meant something that had to do with polar things. i put decisive-philanthropic(?) thing.

wait the medicine one can't be colon, cause after that colon came an independent clause. i thought that was the improper use of a colon. so it couldnt be that one. and the polemic one, when i was looking for the word, i was looking for the definition of arguing. i know he opposed it but in the context of the sentence it basically asked for the meaning, not that he opposed it.

but u cant follow with an independent clause after a colon. it should have been a semi colon. "Regarding medicine,................." whats wrong with that?

I can't remember what exactly the sentence with the colon was. However, a colon is fine whenever the clause before the colon introduces the clause after the colon. Anyway, nobody has proposed an alternative answer, and as I remember it the others made absolutely no sense.

I'm really not sure. It all depends. Just realize that at this point there's virtually nothing we can do - its beyond our control.

However, I did find the writing sentence error identifications harder than usual. I got an 80 on psat writing, and I found three of the error IDs pretty hard.
