SAT/ACT and GPA question

Hello. I am a rising senior (Class of 2015) and I had a few questions about submitting ACT/SAT Scores

1) When is it the best time to submit the SAT or ACT scores?

2) I have

2250 in SAT: 670 CR 800 M and 780 W (w/ 11 essay)

35 in ACT: 32 Reading 35 English 36 Math 35 Science (w/ 10 essay)

which one should I submit? I wasn't sure about how colleges view ACT scores... :/

3) Are there any colleges/universities that REQUIRE (which means I MUST DO IT) students to submit both

SAT and ACT scores + SAT subject tests if they have taken all? For example, I know that Stanford makes you submit

all the SAT scores..

4) Does perfect GPA even matter nowadays?

1.) When you take the tests, you can send your scores to four schools for free so take advantage of that. Aside from that, I think I just submitted my scores to the colleges I was applying to around the time I sent in the actual applications.

2.) If I were you, I would submit both; they are both very good scores.

3.) I don’t think so. Like you said, for some colleges, if you choose to submit your SAT score, you have to submit all your SAT I and SAT II scores (I know Yale does this as well). I don’t know of any schools that require you to send both SATs and ACTs, however.

4.) In short, yes, GPA does matter, along with the rigor of the course load you took.

Did you take any subject test? If not, it would be the cheapest way to get 4 SAT score reports for free which includes both SAT1 and SAT2 scores. Your ACT score is clearly better. If you are submitting SAT2 scores anyway, you may submit both SAT1 and ACT scores. Some schools like Stanford require all scores that you need to submit both. Remember your aim should be beyond admission. Great scores in SAT2 may help you to get merit aid too even if it is not required for admission. GPA is important but the weight varies with schools. Some schools like UMich put more emphasis on it. You know, GPA is a cumulative effort from the past 3+ years while test scores came from a 3 hour test.
