Is it beneficial to send both SAT and ACT?

I am a high school senior currently in the admissions process and am wondering if submitting both sat and act scores would help me get into my goal of stony brook. Would submitting both schools make it easier to overlook my gpa? ACT COMP-30 SAT1, Reading-750 Math-610 Writing-580 GPA-83

Submitting both would not alter the severity of your gpa. Colleges will look at both the scores along with your gpa as seperate quadrants. However really high SAT and ACT could make up for a low gpa. The high scpre could possibly fabricate reasons as to why the gpa was lower but overall no all three submitted contentes will be seperately meticulously looked upon to consider acceptance

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it!

Id submit your ACT. an unbalanced SAT is a terrible, terrible thing. It may as well just be a bad score, because now you’re blatantly exposing you have a serious grammar weakness, and that your math skills are lacking. It would almost be better to have 3 600’s or something of the like.
