How detailed do you have to know Photosynthesis + cellular respiration? Like do you just need to know what it starts out with and what is the end result? Or what?

Also, do you think it will be enough to get a 750+ if I read cliffs + Barrons?

^That should be enough. I used that combo and got a 780 with a few days of cramming. SAT II Bio doesn’t go into that much detail with processes like Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration, but it still helps to know them.

So should I know the entire details of the Kreb’s cycle and the Calvin cycle? Because I was studying and wanted to know how much detail is required for the exam. Also. since you did the test already, did you find these books prepared you perfectly for the tests (Was there anything you never seen before)? And which did you choose E/M?

I took ecology. Cliffs covered just about everything and Barrons covered more specific things. I don’t think you’ll be surprised by anything if you study those two books. The test occasionally has detailed things (for example, the May test had some questions about parts of the ear), so you should know details about certain things. But most of the test is fairly general and broad, so if you know the main important things about processes like photosynthesis and cellular respiration, you should be fine.

Oh okay. And Congratulations on the 780 in Bio and I know you did well on the other test. Keep doing what you are doing! One last question, where you confident doing the tests or a bit iffy? Did you finish in time (with extra to spare)?

I used PR the week before the test. I lost it the day before the test so I couldn’t study off of it the night before. I reviewed with Barron’s about a month before the test.

I thought PR was more accurate for the June test but from what I gather would not have been good enough for the May one. Use a combo of PR and Barron’s for best results. I got a 740 using the method in my first paragraph.

I was fairly confident. The questions I was iffy about I would just come back to later. I finished with enough time to go back and check the answers I wasn’t 100% about. If you know exactly what you’re doing and nothing on the test surprises you, then you can easily finish with 10 or more minutes to spare.

Use PR + Barrons as the above poster mentioned.

sorry to cut in but id say ap if ur in doubt just cause of how in depth the ap versions are compared to sat. it doesnt hurt to know
and sat bio… if u take M then they go a lil more in depth into photo/cell-resp and yes some questions are a lil harder than normal to throw ppl off
if u take E then no u wont need to know so much just know the basics
E u need to learn some biomes and stuff

I used PR and it is pretty accurate in terms of content. PR discusses the fairly accurate detail of the Bio test. In terms of Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis, all you really need to know is the substrates and products of each (reverse of each other) and the organelles involved in them. You may also want to look over the basic steps of Cell Resp.
