@orjioke33 MIT is quite understanding of these things (I mean, we had ~4 snow days and a mountain of snow behind Simmons last year). Because the weather is beyond your control, you should be fine.
@MITer94 This is what they said after I emailed them:
"We appreciate your interest in MIT. We are aware that the January test date at your testing center has been, or may be, cancelled.
We receive a number of applications from students who, for various reasons, are not able to complete all of the testing requirements. Unfortunately, we still will not be able to accept February testing, as the scores will not arrive in time for review.
If your test center schedules a makeup test date, you can choose to take that administration. We cannot guarantee that we will receive those scores in time, but will continue to work with the College Board to try and ensure the receipt of those scores as soon as possible.
If you have previously sat the test and have old scores, you may submit those to us – please request the testing center to send them to us as soon as possible.
Applications without all testing requirements will still be accepted. Applicants will be reviewed with the information we have available, and reasons for why you were unable to complete the testing requirements will be taken into consideration.
For more information, you may also get in touch with the College Board"
So, my scores will not reach MIT in time, but they will still accept my application despite no SAT subject test scores. Do you think that lowers my chances considering the circumstances?
@MITer94 Yeah it is, but it’s definitely understandable. The test date is 5 days after all scores and records are due.
If the subject tests are only a small part of the application like you say, then it shouldn’t be too detrimental. The last thing I should do is worry over what I can’t control, so I’ll wait and see what happens.
