I was scheduled to take the SAT tomorrow but it has been cancelled due to weather predictions (snow). Anyone know what usually happens (when it will be rescheduled to? same test distributed or do they make a new one? etc)
My daughter’s SAT I was canceled in October due to severe weather. You will get an Email from college board that it was canceled, then a few days to a week later you will get an Email about the reschedule and you will get a link to print a new admission ticket.
It was rescheduled two weeks later.
Thank you @MITer94 @NorthernMom61
Do they make new tests for those that had them cancelled? Or do they use the same ones? Also, if the test is new, won’t the curve be harsher because most of the tests that were cancelled were in the Northeast, where students generally perform better?
the curve is predetermined. It will be a new test.
@momof2ky
Is the curve actually predetermined? I’m sorry to be so skeptical, I’m just super nervous Would you have a source for that?
@momof2ky I dont believe the curve is predetermined. It’s a bell curve so isn’t it contingent upon how everyone performs on the test? In other words, don’t they analyze how everyone performed on the test after they take it and make the curve based on those results?
So I just found out my test center is having the test on February 21st. Nearly every other test center in NJ was rescheduled to February 7th. I’m supposed to be going on vacation that week and will most likely not be able to take the February 21st test. Is there any way the collegeboard would allow me to register/ take the test at a different test center on February 7th before I am in FL for vacation? Thanks
