Sat chem.2

In calculating weak acid/base
How do they know without using calculator by figuring by hand (1.8*10^-5)(0.5) is 1 * 10^-5

Thank you
Adele

1.8 times 0.5 is 0.9.

Product is 0.9 * 10^(-5) or 9 * 10^(-6). If estimating, 10^(-5) is close enough.

Thank you

Another question, how to do -log(1.8×10^-5)

I was trying to to change the k of acid to pk of acid

@Adeleloveshiro with a calculator.

Sat chem we r not allow to use calc.

Or that might never come up

Hi

Sat math 2, i was trying to graph this
f(t)= 100(0.7)^t
g(t)=100(0.999993)^t^5

The graph is not on page.it appear some on left corner. I try it on ti84 CE

Are you a university student ? or high school
You know a lot of things. Which U ?

@Adeleloveshiro you can zoom in or out on most graphing calculators. That should fix the problem.
