<p>Can someone tell me the latest I can take an SAT test next school year in time for college application deadlines? I need to know how many more test dates will be available for me before college application deadlines next year.</p>
<p>I plan to mostly apply to UCs if that helps. </p>

<p>MOSTLY if you want to apply for EA then you should complete all testing by October (some school even allow November also )</p>
<p>under Regular Decision - by December ( again some schools allow till January also)</p>
<p>Just prep as hard as you can over the Summer and take both SAT and ACT in early Fall. You really want to get this done as soon as possible. Not only you may apply EA, you need to save time to prepare for the school applications and writing essays. After all, you would not have much time to do test prep after school resumed anyway.</p>
<p>An Admissions Officer told me that they want your application in by the RD deadline, but there is a lot of administrative things done with the applications for weeks. They don’t start looking at them "holistically until late February and March, so the January SAT test will get the results to them in time. He specifically said not to spend the money to expedite the scores. He said to self report the results and they will wait for the official report to confirm. (That Admission O. was from a private East Coast school - may be different for UCs.)</p>
