Will new SAT scores be analyzed with respect to the old test?

Got my score from the May test last week, got a 760 on math and 770 on verbal. This converted to a 2230 on the old scale (via the collegeboard conversion calculator) however my converted score was a 790 on writing and only a 1440 MCr. A lot of people say that, for the old one, nobody cares about the writing score. For the new test, will colleges analyze my score like it’s a 1530 on the new one, or a 700CR/740M/790W. Please let me know if this makes sense, thanks.

I don’t think anyone really knows yet. When I go on tours now, I ask admissions how they’re going to treat the new SAT. I just asked Purdue, if they would use the CB’s concordance tables, and they said something like “we don’t know yet”.

My personal guess is that they’re just going to use the number out of 1600, without manipulation - but what do I know.

I really hope the schools do some sort of conversion with the new scores to normalize them. Otherwise it will penalize the kids who took the “old” SAT, as the new SAT is showing such a degree of inflation.

Other than the concordance that CB has provided, is there any other evidence suggesting the new SAT is inflated?
