Can someone please verify that if you want your SAT scores sent to a particular college, College Board will ALSO FOWARD ALL AP scores as well, unless you pay a fee to have them witheld... Is that right? I mean if your kids tanks an AP test... for whatever reason, it is probably best that the college not see it. Correct?

No, you must pay separately for AP scores to be sent & they'll only be sent to the school(s) you specifically request (generally it's the one the student will attend & has sent in the acceptance deposit after May). If your student is taking AP exams senior year & lists that school in registration, you don't have to pay an additional fee & that school will receive ALL AP results--senior year & prior.

It is correct that there's no benefit to the student in showing test results where the student did poorly.

The SAT part of the College Board and the AP part are totally separate.

When a student requests that SAT scores be sent to colleges, all SAT and SAT Subject Test scores are sent. The sending of AP scores is done separately. Most students do not send AP scores when applying to colleges; they only send them to the college where they will enroll, after they are admitted (for placement and credit purposes).

SATs and APs are separate reports. If you request one, the other will not be sent, unless you request the other and pay the additional fee. Only AP scores can be withheld by paying yet another additional fee.

Thank you all!
