SAT conundrum

I am a senior. I just recently got my score from the January SAT.

comp: 2200

CR: 640
M: 800
W: 760 9 essay

My previous test score was

comp: 2180

CR: 670
M: 800
W: 710 9 essay

The 2180 is already submitted to all of my schools. I am debating whether to send the January SAT. Sure, W went up 50 points and the composite broke the 22 barrier (which is personally satisfying), but my CR score went down 30 points. I am pretty sure CR is the most heavily considered subsection. I am not sure it is worth it to send this score to my schools simply for the improved writing and superscore of 2230.

Does anybody have any input?

For colleges that require all scores or which super score over all three sections, you might as well send the new score.

Score use practices are listed here:

You are not penalized for going down.

Check the policies for your specific colleges. As ucbalumnus said, many colleges will combine your highest sores into a superscore. Check the link for your schools…

Most schools superscore SATs. Definitely send it.
