Sat Grammar help.

Hey guys.

Before i begin, i would like to thank all of you in advance for your

advice. Here is my dilemma. On the Sat Grammar section, particularly

indentifying sentence errors, i have trouble noticing the mistake. It

seems as though every question contains no error. Is there

something fundamentally wrong with my grammar? What should i

do? Re-learn rudimentary things like nouns, verbs, clauses, subject- agreements?

Thanks.

Keep in mind, the SAT creators are attempting to create sentences that seem like they contain no error! If it weren’t tricky, it wouldn’t be the SAT ;)

My advice to you is to get a practice book that explains each correct answer in the answer key. That way, even if you don’t initially notice the mistake in the sentence, you can learn the grammar rules that the SAT uses through looking at the answer key explanations.

Something I realized about the grammar section is that although they change up the questions on each test (obviously), they are using the same grammar rules each time! Its sort of like there are 30 different formulas(the grammar mistakes) that they apply to different problems(the sentences). Therefore, with enough practice, you’ll find it easier to recognize the grammar mistake in sentences on the test.

Good luck!
