SAT I requires one to reduce fractions in grid- in questions??

so i encountered a quesiton in the bb math grid-in part which i got 6/16 as the answer, so i filled in that answer. however, on the answer section, the only correct grid-in answers were 3/8 or the decimal value of the fraction.

thus, this brings me to my question: will the answer be wrong if you give an un-reduced fraction? or is un-reduced fine, the bb just didn't have 6/16 as an option???

please help! thanks a lot!! :)

Fractions not in simplest form are fine. After all, 6/16 is the exact same number as 3/8. When in doubt you can always just grid the decimal which would be .375.

I believe you can put in un-reduced fractions (i.e. 3/8, 6/16, 9/24, etc. are all correct) but it’s usually safer to reduce the fraction anyway.

Yes, as long as it fits the grid, it’s fine.
