SAT I vs. SAT II

So I did very, very well on the ACT and figured I would do just as well on the SAT. Was a I terribly, terribly wrong. But now I still need to take SAT IIs in the fall. I'm very confident that I can score 750+ on Math IIC, Chem, and Writing.

I'll be applying to schools in fall, I'm wondering if I should just take my SAT IIs and forget about the SAT I (Like I said, I had a great ACT score), or if I should try and retake SAT I and take SAT IIs.

I'm looking at maybe Columbia as a reach, I think as long as I do well on the next round of SATs (whichever route I go), I have a legitimate shot. I had an internship with US Congressman Sander Levin (Columbia Grad school), and he actually surprised me with a nice letter of recommendation before my internship ended.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You do not need to retake the SAT if your ACT scores are high. The only issue is that the college board reports ALL of your SAT scores, so if you report your SAT II's your SAT I will show up on the report. However, colleges will take the highest of the scores which, in your case, will be the ACT.
