SAT II Bio????

Hey so Im looking over a book on bio subject test, and I have a pretty firm grasp on most things. However, the book contains like HUNDREDS of proteins and hormones, especially for things like the endocrine system. Is it necessary to know like which organs make what proteins and what each protein does?

I’m pretty curious to know which book you’re using. I suggest you get Barrons or Princeton SAT II bio book. Barrons has tons of info but its pretty to be over prepared than under…
Princeton has just the right info. If you can use barrons and princeton at the same time.

The endocrine glands has a lot of hormones but you just have to memorize them. There is no other way around it… Besides there are only 30 hormones, not 100 :P

You have to memorize all the hormones that are secreted by the pituitary, hypothalamus, endocrine glands, kidneys, ovaries, etc. There were a chunk of these questions in the June 2008 test

Hit or miss regarding whether hormones appear or not. I thoroughly memorized them all but I don’t recall any on the Nov 08 test last month. Though on other practice tests I’ve taken they’ve been an entire section (4-5 questions) sometimes, so be prepared!

does anyone know of a website or a book where i can find just a simple list of all the hormones and what organ makes them and their purpose?

try Sparknotes
